Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Confiar ("Confiar", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects information about you when you visit confiar.store, place an order or contact us. We follow the requirements of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), the Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA), the Utah Consumer Privacy Act (UCPA), the federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other applicable U.S. state and federal privacy laws.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide. Name, email, shipping and billing address, phone number, password (hashed), order details and any communications you send us.

Payment information. Credit and debit card details are entered directly into Square's hosted fields and are never stored on Confiar servers. We receive only a payment token, the last four digits of the card and authorization status.

Automatically collected information. IP address, device type, browser, pages visited, referrer URL, timestamps and similar log data collected through cookies, pixels and server logs.

Cookies and similar technologies. We use first-party cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart and measure site performance. We may use third-party analytics cookies. See section 6.

2. How we use information

  • Process and fulfill your orders, including payment, shipping and returns;
  • Send order confirmations, shipping updates and customer-service messages;
  • Provide an account, save your preferences and remember your cart;
  • Send marketing emails (only if you opted in — you can unsubscribe any time);
  • Detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse and security issues;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the store, under contracts that limit their use to providing the service:

  • Square, Inc. — payment processing.
  • Supabase (Supabase Inc.) — database and authentication.
  • Resend (Resend, Inc.) — transactional email delivery.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. — content delivery network and image hosting (R2).
  • Vercel Inc. — application hosting.
  • Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.) to deliver your order.
  • Law enforcement and authorities when required by valid legal process or to protect rights and safety.

4. Your U.S. state privacy rights

Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected;
  • Access a copy of that information;
  • Request correction of inaccurate information;
  • Request deletion of your personal information;
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell);
  • Opt out of targeted advertising and profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects;
  • Non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

To exercise any right, email hello@confiar.store with subject line "Privacy Request". We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days as required by law.

5. Children's privacy (COPPA)

Confiar does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

6. Cookies and tracking

We use strictly necessary cookies (login session, cart) by default. With your consent where required, we may use analytics cookies to understand traffic and improve the site. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the site may not work correctly.

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out request where required by California, Colorado and Connecticut law.

7. Data retention

We keep order records as long as needed to fulfill orders, support customers and comply with tax, accounting and fraud-prevention obligations (typically 7 years). Account information is kept while your account is active and deleted upon your request, subject to retention required by law.

8. Security

We use HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls and third-party processors that maintain SOC 2 or PCI-DSS compliance. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International transfers

Our servers are located in the United States. If you access the site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. under U.S. law.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest version. Material changes will be communicated by email or a notice on the site.
